David Wellington

David Wellington is Executive Vice President at Wellington Management, Inc. (WMI). David’s principal responsibilities include acquisitions, development, company-wide leasing oversight and community engagement. David managed the development and construction of Blue Line Flats, a 135-unit, $25M new affordable housing project in South Minneapolis. He has led the redevelopment of a vacant 72,000 SF Rainbow Foods, now home to a new Aldi Grocery, 10,000 SF of side shops and a 57,000 SF K-8 school. He is responsible for the team’s multi-phased 20-acre development in the Bassett Creek Valley area of North Minneapolis, including the new Leef Office Building and the 2nd Avenue and Van White development projects. Before joining the company in 2014, David served as an analyst with a brokerage team in the Seattle, WA office of CBRE. Prior to 2010, he worked as a policy analyst in a St. Paul project management firm specializing in government program implementation. David earned a B.A. from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and an M.B.A. in real estate and finance from the University of Washington in Seattle.
