Hi-Lake Shopping Center, which includes 149,000 square feet of retail space on eight acres of property, is located directly adjacent to the Lake Street/Midtown stop of the Light Rail's Blue Line. Wellington Management, Inc. purchased the Hi-Lake Shopping Center in September 2004 and immediately began a $3,000,000 renovation which included a new canopy, facade, storefronts, parking lot, and landscaping, as well as a number of other improvements.
The Hi-Lake Shopping Center has been a part of the community for over 50 years. Aldi, Family Dollar, Savers, O'Reilly's Auto Parts and Citi-Trends help to anchor this lively retail center as it flourishes under the revitalization of the Lake Street and Minnehaha Corridors. Our investment in the Lake Street community has expanded with the construction of Corridor Flats, a 36-unit condominium project above Aldi, Lake Street Station, a 64-unit senior affordable housing project with over 5,000 square feet of retail on the ground level, and Blue Line Flats, a 135-unit affordable housing project on 32nd and Hiawatha.
WELLINGTON MANAGEMENT INC., continues to provide all leasing and property management services for the Hi-Lake Shopping Center.
