Over the past thirty years, Wellington Management has had a hand in the construction of over forty buildings in the Twin Cities metro area. In addition, each year WMI completes $5-$8 million in tenant and building improvements for the properties that we own and manage. Consequently, WMI has developed considerable skills in construction project management. In 2013, WMI was selected to provide construction management services for Habitat for Humanity's new $9 million headquarters, located on University Avenue in Saint Paul. In addition, WMI recently completed construction on a new $11 million senior housing project on Lake Street in Minneapolis and has just finished construction of a new $3.5 million retail store for Goodwill Easter Seals in Minneapolis.
While Wellington Management typically uses these construction management skills to develop projects for WMI's own portfolio, the company has also been retained on a consulting basis to provide such services to other for-profit and non-profit organizations.
